Domestic Abuse: defined as intentional infliction of physical pain, physical injury or illness; or intentional impairment of a physical condition; first, second, or third-degree sexual assault; or causing another person to fear that they will be subject to any of the above.
Prominent Aggressor: Law enforcement will focus on the degree of physical injuries; statements made by witnesses; history of domestic abuse between the parties; threats; extent of fear between parties; and other factors deemed appropriate.
Contact Prohibition: Unless waived, there will be a 72 hour no-contact put in place immediately following an arrest for a domestic abuse incident which requires that the arrested person avoid the residence of the alleged victim, any premises occupied by the alleged victim, and any contact whatsoever with the alleged victim.
